چکیده

Beta-site amyloid precursor protein cleaving enzyme 1 (BACE1) plays a critical role in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathogenesis. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between microRNA-149 (miR-149) and BACE1, evaluate clinical significance biological function of miR-149 AD progression. Bioinformatics analysis luciferase reporter assay were used confirm interaction BACE1. Expression BACE1 was estimated using quantitative real-time PCR. The diagnosis severity determination evaluated ROC analysis. effect on Aβ accumulation neuronal viability analyzed Aβ-treated SH-SY5Y cells. found directly binding 3’-UTR negatively correlated with patients cell model. Serum expression downregulated served as potential diagnostic biomarker. overexpression cells resulted inhibited enhanced viability. demonstrated that serum is decreased serves candidate biomarker, may suppress promote by targeting model

Varenicline Ameliorates Learning and Memory Deficits in Amyloid β(25–35) Rat Model of Alzheimer’s Disease

Introduction: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a enfeeble neurodegenerative disorder characterized by increased β-amyloid (Aβ) deposition and neuronal dysfunction leading to impaired learning and recall. Among proposed risk factors, impaired cholinergic transmission is a main cause for incidence of disease. Methods: In the present study, effects of the intracerebroventricularly administration of an ...

Neuronal MicroRNA Deregulation in Response to Alzheimer's Disease Amyloid-β

Normal brain development and function depends on microRNA (miRNA) networks to fine tune the balance between the transcriptome and proteome of the cell. These small non-coding RNA regulators are highly enriched in brain where they play key roles in neuronal development, plasticity and disease. In neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's disease (AD), brain miRNA profiles are altered; thus...

MicroRNA-205 inhibits renal cells apoptosis via targeting CMTM4

Objective(s):MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNA molecules that regulate gene expression. They have important roles in kidney development, homeostasis and disease, and participate in the onset and progression of tubulointerstitial sclerosis and end-stage glomerular lesions that occur in various forms of chronic kidney disease (CKD). In the present study, we elucidated the role of microR...

MicroRNA-425 is downregulated in nasopharyngeal carcinoma and regulates tumor cell viability and invasion by targeting hepatoma-derived growth factor

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), which arises from the nasopharynx epithelium, is most common in Southeast Asia, particularly in Southern China. To date, a variety of microRNAs have been demonstrated to serve key functions in the progression and development of NPC. microRNA-425 (miR-425) has previously been reported to be frequently abnormally expressed in a number of different types of human ca...
